Standard Specializations (8)

Core roster

Assault

Frontline

The Assault pushes into enemy lines, closing distance to put the enemy under immediate pressure. A standard pick for aggressive positioning.

  • Fleet of Foot — +1.0m on first movement each turn.
  • Strike the Flanks — +20% critical chance on flanking shots.
  • Sweeping Salvo — generates 4 Advantage on use.
  • Bull Rush — closing charge ability.

Gunslinger

Ranged

A dual-pistol specialist that excels at quick, consecutive shots. Known for economy of action — kills chain into more actions.

  • Quick Draw — multi-shot pistol attacks that refund action points on kills (confirmed by IGN Tips).
  • Keen Eye — +6% ranged critical chance.

Heavy

Frontline

The Heavy trades mobility for sustained firepower, holding angles and suppressing enemy advance with big weapons.

  • Passive: +2 Defense and +4 Max Health.
  • Taunt — forces enemies to attack the Heavy.
  • Bulwark — defensive stance ability.
  • Unstoppable — attacks back when hit and taunts the attacker.
  • Morale loop — up to 4 morale stacks, each recovering 2 HP.

Medic

Support

Keeps the squad alive in the field, patching wounds between engagements. Vital on long missions where injuries compound.

Ability details pending public confirmation.

Scoundrel

Utility

A jack-of-all-trades trained in the galaxy's grey zones — flexible in combat and at home in the underworld operations Zero Company takes on.

  • Easy Mark — applies a debuff to a target.
  • Identify Weakness — applies Vulnerable.
  • Combat Gas — area utility (confirmed via Epic builds guide for Luco).
  • Pick Them Off — execution ability on wounded targets.

Scout

Utility

Moves fast, spots enemies and sets up the squad's approach. Scouts pay off on missions where positioning decides the fight.

  • Assess Threats — sightline scan.
  • Combat Recon — gains large Advantage pools on kills (20% chance per kill).
  • Spot — reveals/repositions enemy visibility.

Sharpshooter

Ranged

Delivers surgical damage at long range with high critical potential. Pairs naturally with the Den's Longarm weapon upgrades.

  • Lethal — up to 3 stacks, each +5% hit chance and +3% critical chance.
  • Zero-In — precision shot ability.
  • Pick Them Off — execution on wounded targets.

Soldier

Frontline

The all-round trooper. Soldiers fit any squad composition and are the baseline every other Specialization is measured against.

  • Passive: +2 Blaster Damage and +2 Grenade Damage.
  • Rocket Strike — heavy AoE that deletes enemies and cover (30+ damage at base).

Exotic Specializations (4)

Locked / roster-specific

Jedi Padawan

Exotic

Exclusive to Tel-Rea Vokoss, the squad's Jedi Padawan. Wields the Force in tactical combat with unique push/pull capabilities.

  • Force Push / Pull — can knock enemies into each other (confirmed by 'Forceful' achievement).

Mandalorian Warrior

Exotic

Exclusive to Cly Kullervo of Clan Verminoth. A Mandalorian-trained combatant bringing elite armor and warrior discipline to the squad.

Astromech

Exotic

Custom-built astromech droids that can be recruited as Operators. Their exact combat role is still being documented by the community.

Confirmed recruitable — the 'Angry Beeps' achievement requires a 4-astromech squad on one mission.

Unannounced Exotic

Exotic

The fourth exotic Specialization exists per the '8 standard + 4 exotic' structure, but has not been officially revealed. Listed here so the count is honest — no fabrication.

Status: unannounced by EA/Lucasfilm. Will be updated the moment a reliable source confirms it.
